I was having one of those chats with a good friend of mine over coffee this morning (you guys know I have some friends, right? lol) and you know we usually end up talking about porn, and usually about Staxus too. We’re both fans of the site of course, and have been for a long time. I know the kinds of guys my friend is into (Darius Ferdynand, Dick Casey, Jaro Stone) and he asked me about Billy Rubens and whether he was ever coming back to the site.
I don’t know to be honest, he was only here for one video way back in 2014. But it did get us onto the discussion about gay for pay boys.
My friend is American, and he really hates this whole thing about gay for pay. In his opinion gay for pay guys are just gay or bi guys in denial. But I think I’ve worked something out and I think I might have persuaded him to look at this differently too…
In Europe we have a different attitude to sex. That’s true, right? I mean, you just need to look at the Janet Jackson nipple flash/slip and the chaos that caused to know that we have a different attitude here in Europe.
I think maybe it’s just that most European guys just enjoy sex, and fewer of us adhere to the labels. I think perhaps we view sex as something different to relationships (which it is), and that one sexual act, one pleasure experienced, does not change your entire sexual identity.
I gave him a comparison, I told him that receiving pleasure from toy doesn’t make you any specific sexuality other than what you were before you used it, so why do so many men think that receiving pleasure from another guy must mean that they’re no longer heterosexual?
Yes, this is the kind of intellectual conversation we have when we’ve had too much coffee lol
